How should we approach the Civic Trust to have Griff talk at our annual general meeting. We usually have about 20/30 people. If Griff was to talk I am sure we could get another 10-15 people present.

I’m afraid that Griff’s commitments mean that, reluctantly, he isn’t able to attend local events. His filming, TV and writing schedule (you may have seen several of his programmes recently) is very busy, and whilst he has agreed that he’ll do his best to attend Civic Trust national events, this year he has been unable to commit to most of these. He has however, been generous in terms of providing quotes to promote the Trust, and has written a thought provoking article in the latest issue of Grass Roots, a copy of which has been sent to every Civic Society for circulation amongst their members.

Dear Caroline,
I understand that Griff is incredibly busy, but if you do not ask, you do not get!
Can I ask how I can get my own personal copy of GrassRoots? Is one available to download from the website?
Many thanks for your speedy response
James

Dear James

Absolutely - it’s always worth asking the question!

Individual members of the Civic Trust receive their own quarterly copies of Grass Roots - individual membership costs £20 for the year. If you’d like to discuss this, do email me. Are you a member of a Civic Society? If so, either your Chairman or Secretary will have received your copy for circulation.

The quarterly issue of Grass Roots isn’t available online as it a “members only “benefit. However, if you would like to sign up to receive our fortnightly electronic version of Grass Roots, please email me and I’ll make sure you’re added to our mailing list.

My email address is

I look forward to hearing from you.
