Have the Civic Trust ever considered holding grassroots “brainstorming events” where local communities could propose policy reforms.  This could increase pressure on Government to accept ideas that are firmly rooted in local communities. I would like to hear what other people think

I think this is an excellent idea. If Civic Trust staff could attend every civic society event they would be able to find out what is really happening on the ground and then be able to develop a policy statement. I am sure if national staff could attend an event it would get more people to attend to gut across current issues.
